ቆይታ ከዶ/ር ቢኒያም ጥላሁን ጋር የ14ኛ ምዕራፍ 8ኛ ፕሮግራም | Dr. Binyam Tilahun - S14 Ep8
Let's talk about something that does not get a lot of attention in our media – the modernization of our healthcare system. About two months ago, I had a chance to visit the rural part of Ethiopia and saw how healthcare is happening there and what I have witnessed was sad. I have a guest to talk about healthcare in Ethiopia. Dr. Binyam Chakilu Tilahun is currently working as Assistant professor and founder/leader of eHealth Innovation and research center at the University of Gondar. He graduated his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and IT in 2006 at Arbaminch University. From 2008-2010, he studied master’s degree in public Health Informatics in a collaborative master's program of the University of Gondar and University of Oslo. In 2011, he got the prestigious Erasmaus Mundus European Union Scholarship to study another master's degree in three leading European Universities located in Germany, Spain and Portugal. After finalizing the master's degree, he was offered to continue a PhD in health informatics in Germany under the German government KAAD scholarship. He was only 30 years of old when he finished his PhD and two master's degrees. After his PhD, he worked as Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of the British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada (2015-2017) before moving back to Ethiopia with a strong vision of establishing world class research Lab in his own country.
